Lower thirds are one of the most basic elements to add to any live stream.

Adding and editing

When you add a new lower third you can set a few properties for it.

Name - This is typically the name of a person on screen.

Title - The job title or description of the person.

Position - This tells the lower third to enter from the left or the right of the screen.

Show/Hide

Each lower third has a Show button next to it to bring it on air.

There is also a Hide button at the top of the page which will hide any lower thirds that are currently on air.

Options

The lower thirds element has user-definable options for position, look and feel, and more.

Name colour - The colour of the text for the name.

Title colour - The colour of the text for the title.

Background colour - The background colour of the lower third.

Size - The overall size of the lower third.

Vertical offset - Where - vertically - the lower third will appear on-screen.

Duration - The length of time the lower third will stay on-screen before disappearing.

Transition - The type of transition that the lower third will appear/disappear with.

If you do not want your lower third to automatically disappear then set your Duration to a really high number!
